Younger people moving abroad
Many younger people from the UK are choosing to move abroad, according to an academic.
Professor Steve Hill from the University of Glamorgan stated that living abroad is becoming increasingly popular among those in their 20s and 30s.
Speaking to the Western Mail, he said many from this age group are opting to leave the country in order to boost their career.
He commented: "They respond to economic opportunities. It can seem you get quicker career progression in certain places."
Professor Hill added that younger people also tend to be more mobile and can quickly become settled in a foreign country.
However, he said many who have lived abroad for several years often choose to return home when they are in their 50s.
The comments come after Dave Isley of NatWest said it is now easier than ever to travel between different parts of the world.
This, he stated, had led to people having the chance to either work overseas or enjoy a different lifestyle in another country.
