Weather 'impacts on investment decisions'
Britons looking to purchase property abroad are mostly concerned with the weather conditions, according to new findings.
A new survey from Foreign Currency Direct has stated that residents from the UK often consider the amount of sunshine hours they will be exposed to when buying in places such as Spain and Portugal.
This is in comparison to the number of people who said that they are not concerned about local laws, with 51% of 35 to 44-year-olds said they do not care about local laws.
Chief executive at Foreign Currency Direct Peter S Ellis said that people should consider a number of factors when investing in foreign property.
"People should seek guidance and support when making such life-changing decisions and by allocating clients a dedicated dealer acting as the eyes and ears of the foreign currency market," he commented.
In related news, recent figures from the Spanish Mortgage Association suggested that increased competition among banks should help investors get better deals in the country.
