UK businesses 'growing more confident'
The UK economy is now stabilising, leading to increased confidence among businesses.
That is the finding of a study by consultancy Drivers Jonas, which predicted a rise in office rents in London as a result of improvements, with demand set to outstrip supply.
According to the firm, signs that activity is picking up are now emerging - which could benefit those considering investments.
Partner and head of research Andrew Duggan explained: "While technically the UK is still in recession, the London occupier market seems to be shrugging off the downturn."
It comes after a survey of small to medium-sized enterprises - conducted by uSwitchforBusiness.com - revealed that many are confident about the prospects despite the economic downturn.
Nearly a third predicted that they will have recovered in less than 6 months, with a further 27% suggesting they will be trading as normal between 6 months and a year from now.
