UAE recommended to winter holidaymakers
People who are planning to get away later in the year have been encouraged to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Medhotels, Dubai in particular is proving to be a very popular destination among foreign holidaymakers, reports Travel Weekly.
This, it said, is partly due to the fact that the emirate offers excellent weather conditions throughout the winter months.
James Eustace, head of planning and training at Medhotels, added that its accessibility from Europe also makes it a good place for leisure travellers.
He commented: "Dubai's relatively short flying time makes it ideal for winter holidaymakers looking for sunshine."
Earlier this week, the Association of British Travel Agents called on tourism officials in the UAE to expand their budget holiday sector.
Spokesperson Frances Tuke was quoted by the National as saying that would help it to attract more holidaymakers who have been hit by the credit crunch.
