UAE attracts foreign property investors
People from outside the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are increasingly choosing to invest in its housing market, it has been revealed.
A study by AME Info found that 39% of those who own property in Abu Dhabi hail from other countries.
The research also showed that many of these people have also invested in other parts of the UAE, such as Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
Commenting on the findings, AME Info said they show that foreign investors are being drawn towards the ongoing growth in its housing market.
"International investors [are seeking] to make the most of the rapid price increases currently being enjoyed," it stated.
The study found that nearly three-quarters of those who have bought a property in Abu Dhabi have done so for investment purposes.
According to AME Info, house prices in the emirate are going up by about two-thirds per annum.
This comes after the UAE was rated eighth in Jet-to-Let magazine's list of this year's top 10 property investment markets.
