Turkish province prepares for tourist season

Rental investors in a popular Turkish tourist hotspot are set to enjoy strong demand this year.

According to the Turkish Daily News, the government has invested millions of pounds in marketing Antalya province overseas.

Ibrahim Acar, culture and tourism director in the region, believes this will be effective in attracting visitors from foreign countries.

This will be a positive development for those own property in Antalya, as its popularity among holidaymakers will create high demand for tourist accommodation.

Therefore, investors could be in line to collect strong returns if they let their home out to foreign visitors.

Mr Acar commented: "Tourist groups from many countries will begin to come to Antalya as of this month."

He added that he is expecting tourist numbers and the amount they spend in Antalya to be up on last year.

Turkey was recently described by Business Week as a "property hotspot" for European and US home buyers.
