Turkey to attract more German visitors
Turkey is set to attract a greater number of German holidaymakers this year, a travel firm has revealed.
Alltours.com stated that the European country is becoming increasing popular with consumers from Germany, reports Today's Zaman.
Speaking to the newspaper, spokesperson Jorg Manthei commented: "In 2008 Turkey developed into one of Alltours' biggest and most important holiday destinations."
Meanwhile, figures from the company have revealed that last month, the number of Germans booking holidays to Turkey was 25% higher than at the some point of the previous year.
This suggests that rental accommodation in hotspots such Antalya is receiving greater levels of demand.
As a result, overseas property investors who have purchased a residence in the region could be in line to collect healthy returns.
This comes after government figures cited by TurkishPress.com revealed that the country attracted 1.7 million visitors during January and February this year.
