Turkey set to attract British buyers
A record number of overseas property buyers from the UK are set to enter the Turkish market this year, it has been predicted.
According to the Voices newspaper, more than 20,000 British nationals currently own a residence in Turkey.
The publication believes the European country is likely to remain a popular hotspot with foreign buyers in 2008, as it offers a number of attractions.
Commenting on the market, it said: "Turkish property is still excellent value, with high-quality apartments from as little as £35,000 still available in some of the coastal resorts."
Voices added that the country has moved on from being an unknown emerging market to one of the top ten investment hotspots in the world.
This comes after ShelterOffshore.com predicted a positive outlook for the Turkish housing market, as it believes its growing tourist trade will lead to more foreign property buyers arriving in the country this year.
