Turkey opened up to Yorkshire consumers
Yorkshire-based property investors will soon be able to benefit from additional flights to Turkey later in the year.
Goldtrail Holidays, which specialises in trips to the country, has announced it will offer extra services from Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) this summer.
The company will offer five flights a week to Bodrum and Dalaman, which are two of the most popular tourist hotspots in Turkey.
As a result, these areas have attracted lots of interest from overseas property buyers, including both holiday home owners and investors.
Bodrum was recently recommended by Dominic Whiting, editor of the Buying in Turkey property guide, because of its status as a "mecca" for holidaymakers.
Sally Ramsey, marketing and business development Manager at LBIA, commented: "Turkey is a holiday hotspot for UK tourists so we are delighted that Goldtrails programme for summer 2008 is showing such significant growth."
She added that the extra flights would make a "significant contribution" to helping the airport attract three million air passengers this year.
