Turkey lauded for overseas investment potential
Turkey is one of the world's top destinations for overseas property investors, one expert has claimed.
The country is firmly established in the top ten worldwide, with many Britons looking to own a little piece or Turkey as an investment holding or for its holiday potential, said Paul Collins.
Mr Collins, who is a spokesperson for information service Buy Association, said that Turkish people are also well-used to British visitors.
He ascribed the popularity of the investment hotspot as: "Partly due to the fact that property is quite cheap out there still and partly because there's a really big history of British tourists going there on holiday."
In addition, the expert noted that a large number of cheap flights head to the gateway between east and west, improving its accessibility for Britons.
According to figures from Homes Worldwide, the number of Britons owning Turkish property has increased five-fold in the last five years.
