Turkey 'gaining strength in world economy'
A growing number of investors are becoming aware as the Turkish economy grows in strength, according to one official.
Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce Marcus Wallenberg said that there has been exceptional growth in Turkey over the last few years, in an interview at the World Chambers Congress reported by Today's Zaman.
He added that the country is becoming a magnet for global investors and remains in healthy shape.
Moreover, optimism is high for continuing growth in the economy, which should accelerate further.
A number of investors also find the market "interesting" and its economic position is constantly shifting, he said.
"It is apparent to me that [Turkey is] seriously experiencing good economic developments and I have no reason to see that it will not continue," he commented.
In related news, the Istanbul Stock Exchange hit a record high on Tuesday last week, further underlining the nature of the current economy.
