Turkey attracts foreign investors
Turkey is becoming increasingly popular with foreign property buyers from all over the world, a media outlet has reported.
According to Business Week, the European country has attracted investors from the rest of the continent and the US.
This was partially attributed to its natural attractions, including its "stunning" scenery, "beautiful" beaches and hot weather.
However, the frequency of flights to and from the country was flagged up as another advantage, as this makes it highly accessible to second home buyers.
Business Week commented: "Turkey is quickly emerging as a new property hotspot for European and US home buyers. It's easy to see why."
The news provider added that house prices in the country are set to rise by more than 12%, which means investors could be able to collect good capital returns in the near future.
According to figures cited by Today's Zaman, people from other countries spent more than £5 billion on Turkish property between 2003 and 2007.
