Tourism 'to get boost' in Romania
The Romanian businessmen Emil and Marius Cristescu are set to plough further money into the development of tourism facilities in the country, according to reports.
Already the duo are shareholders in about 30 developments in Romania and now plan to invest a further 6 million euros (£4 million) in the sector, reports zf.ro.
Such investments are set to be funded in part from the sale of the Bega Upsom plant, from which they will gain 16 million euros, the publication added.
Marius Cristescu said that he is pleased with the development and they will look to offer travellers fresh amenities.
"We also want to finalise the Tourist Complex in Orastie, where we invested around 2 million euros in the first stage," he commented to the paper.
Additionally, the duo have a number of other tourism investments, such as hotels in Timisoara.
In related news, Farinson - the bakery firm - recently announced that it has seen large profits in the first half of the year.
