Tourism to boost Turkey's investment potential
Turkey's property is set to be boosted by growth in the country's tourist trade, according to an expert.
Property author Dominic Whiting stated that the government is currently pouring large sums of money into the tourist industry in order to boost the overall number of visitors.
Mr Whiting believes that this could prove to be an important development for foreign property buyers, as it is likely to trigger further growth across the country.
He commented: "This has a hugely beneficial effect on the property market, increasing the desirability of Turkish property and values."
Mr Whiting added that property values are likely to go up by at least 15 per cent per annum in some areas during the next few years.
This, he said, would lead to more investors, holiday home buyers and retirees choosing to purchase a property in Turkey.
Last week, Business Week partly attributed Turkey's popularity with foreign buyers to its natural attractions, including its "stunning" scenery, "beautiful" beaches and hot weather.
