Spanish property 'still appealing to Brits'
Regions of Spain such as the Costa Brava continue to attract a large number of British property buyers.
This is according to Homes Overseas magazine, which claims that the area's "classic identity" is just one of the reasons for its enduring popularity with UK holidaymakers and investors.
Despite its status as a prime European holiday destination, the Costa Brava has managed to avoid overdevelopment and retains a traditional Spanish feel, with much of the beautiful coastline well-preserved.
Homes Overseas describes the Costa Brava as an area of "affluent villages, historic cultural diversity, delightful countryside and endless sandy beaches".
In addition, the region is easily accessible for visitors due to the high quality of its road, rail and air links, with nearby airports including Girona, Barcelona and Perpignan in France.
Due to the popularity of the Costa Brava, people with investment properties in the area can expect "superlative rental yields", according to the magazine.
Spain is continuing to develop its high-speed rail service, with the new Madrid bypass service, connecting Malaga and Barcelona, set to open soon.
