Spanish property market 'evergreen'

The Spanish property market's "excellent fundamentals" make it an "evergreen market" according to a property specialist, offering solid returns on investment.

Britons still flock to Spain year-upon-year, drawn by dependable attractions such as a developed tourism industry and favourable climate.

"Because Spain is so easily and cheaply accessible, because it is well known and well loved by Brits and because it has excellent fundamentals from a stable economy to a fantastic climate, it does represent a good, solid, evergreen market," said Rhiannon Williamson of Amberlamb.

Ms Williamson also extolled the potential of investing in property abroad, stating it can be "as simple, as safe, as well regulated and as good - if not better - an investment decision as buying a property in the UK".

She did assert, however, that potential buyers should try and develop the same level of understanding about foreign markets as they have about the UK before investing.
