Spain resilient in face of competition
Spain is successfully fending off competition from emerging rival markets across the world, according to a media report.
The Telegraph stated that overseas property investors have recently been offered an unprecedented range of choices, including new hotspots such as Bulgaria and Turkey.
However, the newspaper said that despite talk of Spain losing out to these countries, the country has retained its considerable popularity.
Spain was praised for offering a wide variety of attractions to overseas property buyers, regardless of whether they are buying for lifestyle or investment purposes.
Commenting on the market, the Telegraph said: "It remains a hugely popular, tried-and-tested destination for buyers of all sorts."
The publication added that although many are choosing to tap into inland parts of Spaind, the country's coastline is still a "big draw".
Spain was recently identified as the most popular market among British property buyers by A Place in the Sun magazine.
