Spain 'most popular for overseas investors'
Investors who wish to purchase overseas property in Spain have been told that it is easier than ever to do so by the HSBC bank.
According to new figures released by the company, around half a million British people currently have real estate investments in Spain.
The company sited a number of reasons for the growing popularity of the country as a destination for investments.
A number of services targeted specifically at people who used to live in Britain were also named by the firm as incentives for interested parties.
"Low interest rates, cheap and frequent flights and the development of a range of services aimed at the large community of British expatriates have made it easier than ever to buy," the firm stated.
Recent comments by Golf International journalist David Brice claimed that Spain and Portugal are the "European headquarters of golf", news that may have been welcomed by interested property developers.
