South America attracts British buyers

Property buyers from the UK are increasingly looking at markets in South America, according to industry analysts.

FinancialAdvice.co.uk revealed that a growing number of Britons are looking at relocating to another country.

South America was highlighted as one location which is attracting more interest, as it offers a much lower cost of living and an attractive lifestyle.

By contrast, the weakness of the pound against the euro means that people cannot get as much for their money in traditional emigration hotspots such as Spain and France.

FinancialAdvice.co.uk said: "The pound has been very strong against a number of other currencies around the world, making areas such as South America more attractive than ever before."

The website added that expatriates are seeking easily accessible locations which offer a good infrastructure and similar living standards to the UK.

According to a study by NatWest, most British expatriates consider themselves wealthier, healthier and happier now that they live abroad.
