Sheikh 'enamoured with Montenegro'
One Sheikh from the United Arab Emirates is said to have become so enamoured with the investment opportunities and beauty of Montenegro that he has pledged to plough vast sums of money in the country.
Sheikh Dhabi Hamdan bin Zayed al-Nahyan plans to invest more than one billion euros in Montenegro, particularly in the tourist industry, according to a B92 News report that cites local publication the Vijesti Daily.
In addition to his outside investments, the magnate holds the positions of president of the First Gulf Bank and foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates.
According to B92, Vijesti cites a source as saying: "He is thrilled with the natural beauties of Montenegro ... he has announced great investments in Montenegro, in immeasurable amounts if it is necessary."
The Sheikh is not the only overseas investor eyeing Montenegro, with the country enjoying a recent surge in popularity following its portrayal in the recent James Bond film Casino Royale.
