Romania recommended to leisure travellers
Romania has been highlighted as a good destination for holidaymakers by an Australian newspaper.
The Sunday Telegraph described the eastern European country as part of the "New Europe" following its accession to the EU earlier this year.
Tourists were advised to consider visiting the capital city Bucharest in order to see its various leisure attractions.
The newspaper highlighted its cultural attractions such as theatres, museums and concert halls, as well as its interesting architecture.
In addition, its recreational outlets such as restaurants and bustling streets were also praised.
Commenting on the city, the publication said that Bucharest was currently "undergoing a renaissance".
Romania's growing popularity as a tourist destination and investment hotspot is already prompting some airlines to roll out new services from countries including the UK.
Recently, Wizz Air announced that it was planning to expand its presence in the eastern European country next year.
