RAK recommended to expats

People who want to relocate to the United Arab Emirates have been advised to consider heading to Ras al-Khaimah (RAK).

According to ShelterOffshore.com, the region is the smallest of the 7 emirates and offers attractive surroundings and good living standards.

The online portal stated that RAK could be a good alternative to places such as Dubai, partly because it is far less crowded.

However, it said Dubai is still easily accessible in just 45 minutes, which means people could work there and commute from RAK.

ShelterOffshore.com remarked: "The destination is becoming the perfect location for those who want to live in Dubai but avoid the heavy traffic."

The website also said RAK offers more affordable living costs and a more "pleasant" standard of living.

This comes after the United Arab Emirates was rated eighth in Jet-to-Let magazine's list of this year's top 10 property investment markets.
