"Now is a good time" to invest in Turkey property

Turkey currently represents an attractive destination for overseas property investment, it has been suggested.

Speaking to the Financial Times, founder of broker Istanbul Mortgage M Bahadir Teker explained that the country is "at the turning point" due to a number of factors.

These were said to include low interest rates and the greater availability of finance, with the expert stating: "We're going to see growth next year and new development opportunities arising mid-year, so I think now is a good time to buy."

Anyone purchasing buy-to-let property in the country could benefit from reduced prices, as the news source noted that some homes cost 30 per cent less than what was seen before the economic crisis.

Earlier this week, Marks & Spencer revealed that Turkey remains a popular holiday destination for Britons, with its lira the third highest selling currency in the second and third quarters of the year - news that may interest those investing in buy-to-let property there.
