Property sellers 'must have a good product'
Current difficulties in the global economy mean that sellers must ensure they are offering a good product.
This is the view of the Association of International Property Professionals, which said many agents are being hit hard by the credit crunch.
Therefore, chief executive Paul Owen has insisted that anyone who is putting their home up on the market sale ensures that they make sure it is as saleable as possible.
Indeed, he stated that people who are selling a property have to provide a good product, price and service.
"A few years ago you could practically stick your flag in the floor and sell overseas property," Mr Owen commented.
"Now you need to be good at what you do."
He added that that this may have the positive consequence of driving up standards throughout the industry.
According to Cater Allen Private Bank, about 2.3 million Britons now own a property abroad.
