Property investors 'boosted by expansion of budget routes to Nantes'

Property investors from the south of England looking to invest in French properties could be boosted by the news that budget airline Ryanair has expanded its services to Nantes with the announcement of new flights from Bournemouth.

The company has described the new route as "great news" for people across the English south coast, with services set to commence on June 14th 2007.

Operating thrice-weekly, flights will leave for Nantes at 07.50 GMT on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, bringing the total number of Ryanair routes from Bournemouth to 7 - including services to Marseille and Pisa, Tuscany.

Ed Grimsey, Ryanair's UK marketing executive, commented: "In its first year we expect to carry 42,000 passengers on our new route to Nantes, meaning that 490,000 passengers will benefit from Ryanair's low fares to and from Bournemouth in the year ahead."

Recently, the editor of A Place in the Sun magazine told the Nubricks overseas property news blog that the availability of budget routes is an important consideration for overseas property investors.

Matt Havercroft said that this is particularly true of investors looking to let out their foreign property for holiday purposes.
