Podcasts 'helping property owners'
Property owners are looking to new forms of media in attempt to attract potential investors, according to the International Herald Tribune.
Beth Gardiner stated that the sharing of video files initially was most successful in the American real estate market, but podcasts to sell properties are now a worldwide phenomenon.
A number of technological developments have made this possible, including the growing popularity of the iPod and websites such as YouTube, she wrote.
Moreover, a variety of websites are adding fire to this already burgeoning market, offering property overseas often at greater accessibility, Ms Gardiner added.
"In segments that are generally about a half-hour long, experts and journalists discuss the markets in places like Spain, Turkey, Morocco and Thailand for those who are thinking of buying there or are just curious," she commented.
She noted that agents can offer video tours to promote the latest properties and offer a virtual window into other worlds.
In related news, a new law is set to be introduced in Spain that could see greater confidence in the building of new properties, reports Homes Worldwide.
