'Now is the time to invest in Brazil'

Brazil is finally set mature in to a top investment opportunity after years of promise, according to a recent report.

Equity International, an investment company, claims that low inflation and a burgeoning middle class have provided sound foundations for strong growth and returns on investment.

Furthermore, with a large affordable housing scheme underway, the standard of living of the country's poorest people is set to improve, helping the economy to grow.

And with some of the large US pension funds and other institutional investors being attracted to the country, the signs are that now is the time to invest in Brazil, Reuters news agency reports.

Gary Garrabrant, chief executive of Equity International, commented: "We're going to be creative in Brazil because we're very bullish on the country."

"It's the ideal time to invest in Brazil," he added.

Earlier this week, the Brazil central bank heralded the improvements made to the country's economic prospects, thanks to a "benign" outlook on inflation and interest rates being in line with the global economy.
