Moroccan authorities aim to attract Germans
Rental investors in Morocco could be set to see increased demand from German holidaymakers.
According to a report by Magharebia, tourist officials in the north African country are keen to expand further into the German market and attract more visitors.
Speaking at a travel trade show in Berlin, tourism minister Mohamed Boussaid said Morocco needs to unlock its potential by opening up new areas.
He commented: "We just need to adapt our product because the German market is mainly focused on beach holidays."
Mr Boussaid added that projects are currently underway will soon enable Morocco to offer new attractions to German holidaymakers.
This, he said, should cause it to stand out from other popular beach resorts in the region.
The comments come after official data cited by the Maghreb Arabe Press revealed that 409,146 people visited the north African country in January.
