More people visiting Morocco

Efforts by the Moroccan government to attract more holidaymakers appear to meeting with some success, new figures have indicated.

Official data cited by the Maghreb Arabe Press revealed that 409,146 people visited the north African country in January.

This is 11% higher than the figure during the same period of the previous year.

Morocco was found to be especially popular with French holidaymakers, who accounted for more than a quarter of the overall number of visitors.

A large proportion of leisure travellers from Spain, the UK, Italy and Belgium also chose to visit the country during this period.

The figures bode well for the rental market in Morocco and suggest that its investment potential is getting stronger.

This backs up recent comments from Amberlamb, which said the "positive fundamentals" that are in place in Morocco have helped make it a very attractive investment option.
