More people 'set to travel abroad'
The number of people travelling abroad is set to increase in the next few years, according to new estimates.
Figures from the World Tourism Organisation showed that international tourism has grown steadily in the last four years, leading the body to predict that this trend will continue.
This has been reflected in increased amounts of spending by holidaymakers overseas, with travel expenditure in countries such as Spain and Italy increasing by as much as 9% this year.
Furthermore, emerging markets in other parts of the world such as Brazil were found to have benefit from higher amounts of consumer spending.
The South American country, which has recently seen a large surge in the amount of interest from holidaymakers, saw travel expenditure go up by a third in the last 12 months.
According to independent analysts at Amberlamb, Brazil's popularity as a holiday destination has made an attractive market for overseas property investors.
