More Britons plan to move abroad

More and more people in the UK are planning to relocate to another country, a property specialist has revealed.

The BuyAssociation website stated that in the last 12 months, it has seen a 7% increase in the number of enquiries from prospective expats.

Commenting on this trend, property editor Paul Collins said this is partly because of the ongoing economic turmoil in Britain.

He told the Telegraph that issues such as the credit crunch and the rising cost of living in the UK has prompted many to act upon lifestyle choices they have been considering for some time.

Mr Collins added that British people are becoming increasingly adventurous with their destination choices, as many are opting for non-European markets.

He commented: "Morocco is attracting a lot of interest because it's a big country, with a good government and there is a lot of development."

According to property analyst ShelterOffshore.com, the UK is currently experiencing a "mass exodus".
