Montenegro recommended to tourists
Montenegro has been hailed as an excellent destination for British holidaymakers to visit.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the eastern European country has attracted greater international attention as a result of its popularity with some celebrities.
Montenegro's inclusion in the most recent James Bond film Casino Royale was also said to have helped raise its profile, fuelling interest in its "dramatic" scenery.
The Liverpool Echo stated that the country compares favourably with its neighbour Croatia, as it offers "dazzling" surroundings and an attractive coastline.
"Montenegro has all the right conditions for an ideal holiday destination," it commented.
The publication added that a greater number of holidaymakers are set to visit it in the near future, mainly because direct flights from the UK have recently been introduced.
As a result, people no longer need to travel via Croatia.
Montenegro Airlines is now operating a twice-weekly service between Tivat and London's Gatwick Airport.
