Montenegro benefits from European integration
Montenegro's efforts to integrate with the rest of Europe are having a positive impact on its economy, according to a new report.
Research by fund management firm Moody's Investors Service found that the eastern European country is performing well, reports Forbes.
Montentegro's debt rating was said to be comparable with many European Union member states, while the organisation has predicted economic stability over the next few years.
This was partially attributed to the policies implemented by the country's government, as it has been very prudent with managing its money.
Furthermore, it is currently undergoing structural reform as part of its bid to become a member of the EU.
However, Moody's believes that the country will not be admitted into the international body until at least 2015.
Montenegro became an independent nation two years ago and was formerly part of Yugoslavia, although it was united with Serbia between 2003 and 2006.
