Luxury firm 'looks to Romanian market'
Cartier is looking to open a new jewellery venue in Bucharest and is currently in the process of monitoring the market.
A venue is being located and Tom Meggle at the luxury items company said that this is expected to be opened by 2008 at the earliest, reports zf.ro.
He added that the market currently has great benefits plus a number of investments are already taking place.
"Bucharest is one of our priorities today, as the Romanian luxury market includes many interesting investment projects and the fast growing economy will further boost the affluence of international business tourism," Mr Meggle told the paper.
Additionally, the paper stated that the venture is likely to be opened in conjunction with Helvetansa, which sells Swiss watches domestically.
In related news, investors have recently been told that Bucharest is the "place to be" by Alasdair Glen of The Business Process Outsourcing Centre as there is a general positive attitude shown by companies.
