London apartment 'worth the same as three Turkish houses'
Residents of London who choose to sell their flat could afford to buy three properties in Turkey, according to new figures.
According to A Place in the Sun Live, the average apartment in the British capital costs more than £303,000.
Meanwhile, apartments in the Bodrum region are typically on the market for about £64,000, offering quality living with good scenery, weather and access to the beach.
In addition, overseas property buyers were told they could snap up a villa in Dalaman and a studio in Altinkum for about £220,000 and £20,000 respectively.
Collectively, these three Turkish properties are worth the same amount as a single apartment in London.
A Place in the Sun Live said: "Rather than stretch their finances to afford this kind of property, Londoners can get more for their hard-earned money abroad."
This comes after Moneycorp revealed that it saw a three-fold increase in the amount of interest in Turkey among British buyers last year.
