'Large investments' into Romania
Foreign investments into Romania are set to reach $9.5 billion (£4.7 billion), according to new research carried out by the Consensus Economics body.
The organisation, made up of 12 research and financial institutions, said that this will be the second highest ever level of investment into the country, reports zf.ro.
Moreover, this trend is likely to continue into 2008, the analyst predicted. During 2008, it is expected that capital inflows of $9.4 billion will be seen, it stated.
For the middle of this year, investments into the country stood at 2.96 billion euros (£2 billion) the body noted, which is below the level posted for the corresponding period last year.
Last week, Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel in Bucharest said that it has seen large profits for the first 6 months of the year.
It cited a number of things for these results, such as a selection of high-profile events being held in the area.
