Investors urged to consider future prospects in emerging markets
People who have invested in emerging markets have been advised to consider their long-term sustainability.
Rhiannon Davies, director of Amberlamb, stated that property owners need to make sure the market is likely to perform well during the next few years.
Investors were urged to look at its growth potential, the current level of demand and the relative affordability of property.
This, she said, would be much better than just buying "because the price is right".
Ms Davies also recommended that people who are considering a purchase in an emerging market should also look past "marketing hype" and concentrate on the fundamentals.
She commented: "Look at whats supporting the market today and what needs to be in place for the market to thrive."
According to the Association of International Property Professionals, about a third of the money spent on overseas property last year was in emerging markets.
