Investors snap up Alpine properties
Alpine properties are proving to be highly popular with foreign investors, according to industry analysts.
Advice website BuyAssociation stated that places within the mountain range are attracting attention because they are seen as "slightly different".
Paul Collins, property editor at the online portal, said the Alps have become particularly sought-after by younger people.
He commented: "They're prepared to be that bit more flexible.
"They also like the fact that you can get low-cost flights to the Alpine regions pretty much all year round."
This, he said, means it is "nice and easy" to get to at any time.
Mr Collins added that one feature of the region that tends to be overlooked is how good the weather can be in the summer.
He stated that the Alps also offer "fantastic clean air" and "beautiful" freshwater lakes at this time of year.
This comes after currency specialist HiFX highlighted the popularity of skiing resorts in Italy among British investors.
