Investors 'should make new year's resolutions'
Foreign property investors from the UK have been urged to improve their financial management.
Currency specialist HiFX stated that nearly a quarter of a million Britons now own a residence in another country.
Therefore, it has advised those who have pledged to have sort out their finances for the new year to take their foreign property into account.
HiFX issued a number of money-saving recommendations, ranging from making sure their second home is insured to planning their travel arrangements in advance in order to get the cheapest air fare.
Investors were told that by improving their money management, they would be able to put their overseas finances "in the best possible shape for 2008".
HiFX added that the overall number of British investors in overseas property could increase to 285,000 before the end of the year.
This comes after the National Association of Estate Agents stated that demand for overseas property among Britons was high and was expected to remain so during 2008.
