Investors drawn to Montenegro

Montenegro is becoming an increasingly popular location among foreign property buyers, a media outlet has stated.

BalkanInsight.com said the eastern European country had attracted considerable interest from overseas investors since the market was first opened up several years ago.

The news provider added that Montenegro had come to be seen as a "property paradise" since the initial surge of interest began.

BalkanInsight.com said: "In recent years, it has proved much more attractive than neighbouring Croatia."

This was attributed to its more liberal laws on buying property, as well as its cheaper house prices.

Holiday-Rentals recently revealed that British interest in the Montenegrin property market has increased considerably in the last year.

The organisation stated that during the 12 months to October 2007, the number of properties in the country it had listed on its books rose by 113 per cent.
