Investors advised to consider Portuguese market

Overseas property investors have been advised to consider investing in the Portuguese market.

The Irish Independent said the country's property boom was in "full swing", as many areas were being developed to attract foreign investors.

For example, the publication highlighted the various coastal regions where new properties were being constructed.

In addition, it stated that various leisure facilities such as golf courses, tennis courts and swimming pools were also being created in many areas.

However, those who were not sportingly inclined were also told that Portugal also offered various other attractions.

The Irish Independent said that overseas investors could find an "idyllic rural hideaway" such as a farmhouse or traditional townhouse, as well as old cottages.

Furthermore, the newspaper said the Portuguese economy was strong and offered "excellent" opportunities to foreign property buyers.

Earlier this week, research by Saga identified Portugal as one of the most popular tourist destinations among Britons.
