Investors advised to consider Bodrum
Overseas property buyers have been advised to consider investing in the Turkish resort of Bodrum.
The area was described as a "mecca" for European holidaymakers by Dominic Whiting, editor of the Buying in Turkey property guide.
Commenting on the region, Mr Whiting stated that the area also offered a variety of other attractions, including good restaurants, nightlife and leisure activities.
This, he said, had made the resort highly popular with property buyers from both Turkey and overseas, particularly people from the UK.
He commented: "Bodrum is increasingly popular with year-round British residents, many of whom work in the rapidly developing tourist and real estate industries."
However, he stated that if people were planning to resell their property or rent out to visitors, it was "essential" to purchase in a good location.
Meanwhile, the Sofia Echo has reported that Turkey has been one of the most popular holiday destinations among Bulgarian tourists during the year so far.
