Investing in France 'could be lucrative'

Overseas property investors have been advised that purchasing a residence in France could be highly lucrative.

According to ShelterOffshore.com, house prices in the European country have gone up significantly over the last few years.

The website attributed this to a number of factors, including high demand for rental accommodation from tenants.

This means that property in areas with the greatest demand has not only gone up in value, but also offers investors the chance to collect strong rental yields.

ShelterOffshore.com remarked: "If you have a home in France, it should not be too difficult for you to raise an income or a profit from it.

The online portal added that the level of interest in the market among buyers is "not abating".

This comes after the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors revealed that house prices in France went up by 3% last year.
