Increased interest in Moroccan property from UK investors
Interest in Moroccan property has been increasing in the third quarter of 2009, according to The Move Channel.
The website states that the emerging markets in Morocco and India have been providing good opportunities for UK property investors.
It advises that the biggest returns can be made from off-plan properties in development. The advantage of off-plan property is that investors can purchase at current market value and let the property accumulate while it is built and prices increase.
Next year is set to be a big one for Morocco as major investments have been made recently by internationally renowned chains. In 2002 plans were drawn up to attract 10 million visitors a year to the country by 2010.
Morocco's prime minister Abbas El Fassi said last week that the country was strengthening its "attractiveness for investment and foreign capital". The statement was made in a speech about the countries membership of to the Middle East and North Africa group.
