Growth identified in Argentinean economy
Argentina's economy grew in August, official figures have shown, which could provide a boost to those considering property investments in the country.
Gross domestic product was up 0.1% compared to the same month in 2008, despite predictions a decline would be seen.
The statistics also showed a 1.1% increase on July of this year and come despite the government recently lowering its prediction for 2009.
Overall growth is expected to stand at 0.5%, the estimate having been at 4% last year.
In response, bank Goldman Sachs was quoted by the Wall Street Journal as stating: "We detect some emerging signs that economy has stabilised and is ready to initiate a moderate recovery during the second half of 2009."
Buy-to-let property investors may benefit from looking to Argentina, as Canadian publication the Gazette recently observed that tourism could increase, as the South American country was named as one that is ideal for ethical travel.
