Gap-year students 'could boost Moroccan tourism'
Morocco's tourist sector may be set for a boost from visiting gap-year students from the UK.
The Wessex Scene recommended the north African country as a possible destination for people who were taking a year out of university in order to go travelling.
Marrakesh was highlighted as one of the best places to visit, as its wide variety of shops and retail outlets would allow visitors to get lots of souvenirs of their trip.
In addition, people were also advised to travel outside of the city and venture into the Atlas mountains.
The Wessex Scene commented: "There are always conventional routes to travel around, but there is also the opportunity to go off the beaten track and explore the areas that few people dare to travel down."
An influx of British gap-year students could be a further boost for the holiday industry in Morocco, as the country's government is currently working to attract a greater number of visitors.
As well as boosting the tourism sector, this could also make Morocco a good place for overseas property investors to consider.
