France opened up to British investors
Many parts of France are now easily accessible to overseas property buyers from the UK, experts have stated.
Eurostar introduced a high-speed rail link between London and Paris in November 2007, which has cut journey times between the two cities by 20 minutes.
According to ShelterOffshore.com, this has led to more and more Britons considering purchasing a property in France.
However, the website said that people's attention has not been solely focused on Paris and its surrounding areas.
The online portal stated that prospective buyers could link up with other train services upon their arrival in the French capital and travel elsewhere in the country.
"Property in France for Euro commuters can be purchased in regions as far away from the UK as Alsace and the Rhone Valley," the website continued.
This comes after the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors revealed that house prices in France went up by 3% last year.
