France 'is world's leading tourist hotspot'
France has been identified as the most popular tourist destination in the whole world.
According to the Economic Times, the European country attracted nearly 82 million foreign visitors last year.
France was said to be popular partly on the strength of its natural attractions, such as its good beaches and scenery.
However, the publication added that it also has many other factors in its favour, such as it monuments and landmarks.
"France remains the top tourist destination in the world," it commented.
"It has, in fact, everything that you could ever want to see on your holiday."
France's popularity could make it a good place for overseas property investors to consider, particularly those who are interested in buying rental accommodation for tourists.
According to Stanley Tee LLP Solicitors, it is relatively easy to obtain a mortgage in the country at a competitive interest rate.
The company added that its culture, good climate and cuisine are also helping to attract lifestyle buyers from overseas.
