France continues to tempt British investors
British property buyers are continuing to find France an appealing choice, a media outlet has stated.
The Telegraph described the country as an alluring and highly accessible location that is one of the most popular places among people from the UK.
According to the publication, the recent launch of a high-speed rail link between London and Paris has added to its appeal and is likely to make more potential buyers consider the French market.
However, it stated that although getting a property surveyed is not standard practice in France, investors would still benefit from the peace of mind it provided.
This comment was backed up by Simon Conn of specialist broker Conti Financial Services, who said: "This is advisable as it will highlight any structural or building defects such as damp or subsidence."
A poll by A Place in the Sun magazine recently named France as one of the most popular overseas investment markets among British property buyers.
