Expats praise Turkish lifestyle

Two British retirees have spoken positively about their decision to set up home in Turkey.

Speaking to the Sun, David and Rosemary Nigbur revealed that living abroad has given them the chance to enjoy a wide variety of lifestyle benefits.

Mrs Nigbur said the pace of life in Turkey is much more relaxed than the UK, while the good weather allows them to sit outdoors in the middle of winter.

She went on to highlight some of the financial attractions which Turkey also has to offer, such as relatively cheap property prices.

"We are so glad that we ended up in Turkey as the people and climate are fantastic," she commented.

Mrs Nigbur added that the country is a "stunning place to live" which is very affordable.

According to figures cited by Today's Zaman, people from other countries spent more than £5 billion on Turkish property between 2003 and 2007.
